2016 & 2018 & 2019 EVENT: Basketball - H.O.R.S.E or C.I.N.C.Y.
To win at this event you need to shoot and score and have your opponent shoot and miss.
Rules: Singles Event
a) The player who will shoot first will be determined by coin flip
b) A shot can be attempted from anywhere on the court. No dunking. Any "special" shot must be called before attempted (such as a bank shot, etc...)
c) The first player will shoot. If made, the second player needs to make a shot from the same shot. If the second player misses the shot that player receives a letter. Each player gets only one shot attempt to make a basket.
d) If the second player makes a shot made by the first player, then the first player gets the ball and picks a new spot to shoot from.
e) No shot may be attempted back to back from the same previous spot if made.
f) The first player to spell 'C-I-N-C-Y' or 'H-O-R-S-E' loses.
To lose
1) Miss enough shots made by your opponent to spell 'C-I-N-C-Y' or 'H-O-R-S-E'
To Win
1) Make enough shots to ensure your proponent spells 'C-I-N-C-Y' or 'H-O-R-S-E' before you do
Singles Age Groups: 2 - Youth (age 7-13) and Adults (14 and older)
Qualifying Singles per Neighborhood: 4 - First Place per Gender and Age Group will qualify
Maximum Qualifying Participants Per Neighborhood: 4 - (2 youth and 2 adult)
