2016 & 2018 & 2019 EVENT: Cincinnati Water Works, Water Balloon Toss
Thank you for the support from:
To win at this event you and your partner should have soft hands and the ability to underhand toss a water filled sphere great distances. It is also best if your partner is in a good mood when the event takes place. If not, things will end badly for you (very quickly).
Rules: Team of two.
a) When competing, all teams line up in two parallel rows.
b) One row will have the water balloon first.
c) Once tossed to the partner, the row which had the water balloon first, takes one step back. Then their partner tosses the water balloon.
d) The partner who has the water balloon second does not take a step back, but remains in place. Water balloons must be tossed from each row at the same time to ensure every team has tossed the water balloon the same amount of times.
e) When there are just two teams remaining and each team's water balloon breaks on the same toss, both teams are given new water balloons to repeat the toss. This procedure repeats until there is one team remaining.
To lose
1) Water balloon must break - a dropped water balloon which does not break is considered good luck! Though during Neighborhood Qualifiers, the top 2 tossing teams in the finals will advance to the Cincinnati Neighborhood Games.
To Win
1) Do not allow your water balloon to break and be the last team remaining.
Age Groups: 3 - Youth (age 7-13), Adult/Youth Team and Adults (14 and older).
Qualifying Teams Per Neighborhood: 6 - First Place Teams per Age Group will qualify
Maximum Qualifying Participants Per Neighborhood: 6 - (3 youth and 3 adult)
