2016 EVENT: Limbo (no longer an event)
To win at this event you need to limbo lower than the crowd. We recommend performing yoga for a few months prior to attempting this simple, yet possibly physically (mainly in the back) agonizing event.
Rules: Singles Event
a) Find two non-competing people to hold a pole or bar.
b) The pole holders will begin by holding the pole around head level (5 to 6 feet off the ground).
c) The participants will then line up single file perpendicular to the pole or bar.
d) One by one, each person will attempt to get under the bar (this is done by bending backwards only).
e) If the participant cannot get under the bar, then that person loses and removes themselves from the line. The participant can only come back in line if everyone in the line fails to get under the bar.
f) After everyone in the line take their turn at getting under the bar, the bar holders will lower the bar 6 inches until. This process repeats itself until only one competitor is able to bend backwards under the bar.
g) An illegal move (bending forwards under the bar) will cause the participant to be disqualified.
To lose
1) Be unable to bend backwards under the bar when there are other participants who can.
To Win
1) Be the last person able to bend backwards under the bar.
