2016 & 2018 & 2019 EVENT: 3-Legged Race
To win at this event you and your partner must present a coordinated effort. We recommend someone similar in leg height and strength of heart.
Rules: Team of two.
a) Stand shoulder to shoulder with your partner.
b) Tie a length of fabric or rope around your ankles.
c) When your competitors are ready as well, the referee will say GO and you and your partner run as fast as you can to the finish line.
d) This game can be completed in heats or all at once, though we recommend this game be completed in heats of 4 to 6 teams with the top 2 teams advancing. If you have a super awesome slow motion camera, you could have larger heats.
f) If space allows, we recommend a race length of 40 yards running from point a to point b. We also recommend this race take place on grass (falling is a common occurrence).
To lose
1) During heats, come in 3rd place. If you make it to the finals, cross the finish line after another team.
To Win
1) Be the first team to cross the finish line.
Age Groups: 3 - Youth (age 7-13), Adults (14 and older), and Youth/Adult Team.
Qualifying Teams Per Neighborhood: 3 - First Place per Age Group will qualify
